What Are The Different Types Of Quartz Inserts?  

Quartz and glass inserts can come in a huge variety of styles and shapes. These include: pearls, screws, bats, chains, and cups/dishes. Pearls, capsules, chains, etc.. swirl and spin in your banger while dishes, cups, and quad cores can create a mess-free and easy clean-up in your dabbing experience.

• Terp Pearls & Capsule: Small round pearls like ball and pill shaped capsule that spin for even dabbage and heat distribution. 

• Quartz Dishes: Dishes you can drop your concentrate in directly vs. directly into your banger; this gives you better control of your heat and dab and allows for a mess-free experience. 

• Dab Screw: Screw shaped insert that spins for spreading out your dabs evenly and provides directional airflow when it spins. 

• Glass Terp Chain: This can come in a one-piece or a two-piece set. It spins and acts as a carb cap. 

• Quad Cores: Very similar to dishes. Overall better control and easy cleanup. 

Difference Between Quartz And Glass Inserts?  

Quartz and glass inserts are different due to the materials they are made out of. Quartz inserts are longer lasting, can handle slightly higher temps, and are easy to clean due to the high-quality quartz it is made from. Glass inserts are made from Borosilicate glass and cannot hold up under intense heat without cracking and can become hazy looking after multiple uses.

How To Size Out Your Banger Insert?

Inserts can come in a multitude of different shapes and sizes, so it is important to know what you are looking for. Following these guidelines can give you some insight as to what you need to check before you buy.

• Determine the size: Banger size is important to consider. Some types of inserts are larger, and if they are not paired with a proper size banger, it can restrict airflow and cause your product to puddle in place.

• Choose an appropriate insert: Choosing the right type of insert with your banger is also an important factor. Pearls and dishes are more suited for bucket style bangers, whereas capsules and screws would pair with a slurper style banger.

• Measure, just in case: Inserts and bangers are measured in millimeters. For example: if you know your banger is 25mm in diameter and is 2mm thick, all you have to do is multiply your thickness by 2 and then subtract that from your diameter. 25mm - 4mm = 21mm. This is the size insert dish you would want or smaller.

How Do I Keep Dab Inserts Clean?  

You can keep your dab inserts in tip top shape by cleaning them after each use. Iso dunks and cotton swabs are a huge help when it comes to cleaning your inserts. Heat can speed up your cleaning process, but you run the risk of cracking or breaking your insert, but we promise a little bit of elbow grease goes a long way.

• Q-Tip Swabs: Dip into Iso and wipe the inside and all around each of your inserts.

• Isopropyl Alcohol Soak: Fill up a safe container with Iso Alcohol and dunk or soak your dirty inserts for easier cleaning. 

• Heat Cleaning: Heat cleaning is the process of torching your inserts. This can be fast but can put more wear and tear on your accessories, causing them to crack and break down over time. 

• Precautions: We always recommend using butane for your torch of choice. 

• Regular Maintenance: Regular maintenance ensures that your accessories stay clean and durable for all of its uses. Properly caring for your accessories means they last longer and won't break down on you.

How Do I Use A Quartz Insert?  

Using a Quartz Insert is easy fairly easy; all you have to do is follow these simple steps:

1. Heat your banger with a butane torch to your desired temperature.
2. Place the insert of your choice into your banger.
3. Load your concentrate into your banger.
4. Cap your banger and slowly inhale.
5. Watch your pearls/capsule spin, causing your product to be tasty and evenly vaporized.
