Will This 14mm J Drop Down Fit Your Rig?

This piece is sized for a 14mm setup, but size alone does not confirm fit. Check the joint gender on your rig and banger before ordering so each side of the dropdown mates with the correct connection.

What Does the J-Shape Do?

The J-shaped path moves the banger away from the body of the rig and gives excess reclaim a place to collect along the adapter instead of heading straight into the main piece. If reclaim collection is your main priority, you can also compare dedicated reclaim catchers.

Should You Heat the J Drop Down Wig Wag Directly?

Avoid putting intense direct heat or rapid temperature changes on this glass adapter. Heat the banger rather than treating the dropdown itself as the heating surface.

FAQ

Are Drop Down Adapters Worth It?

Yes, they are a small investment to protect a more expensive dab rig from heat damage. They also help keep your primary piece cleaner by catching reclaim, saving you cleaning time and effort.

What Size Drop Down Do I Need?

This adapter is designed for a 14mm setup. It fits into a 14mm male rig joint and accepts a 14mm female banger. Always check your rig and banger's joint sizes before purchasing an adapter.

Do Drop Downs Collect Reclaim?

Yes, the "J" shape of this adapter is very effective at catching and pooling excess concentrate that drips down from the banger. This reclaim can be collected and saved for later use.

What Is The Difference Between A Drop Down And A Reclaimer?

A drop-down's main purpose is heat distancing, with reclaim collection as a secondary benefit. A dedicated reclaimer is specifically designed to maximize reclaim collection, often with a silicone cap for easy access.

Can I Use This With Any 14Mm Banger?

You can use this with any 14mm female banger. This adapter provides a 14mm female joint, so it is not compatible with 14mm male bangers unless you use another converter.
