What Does the Lightning-Shaped Window Show?

The cutout is a distinctive viewing feature, not a light, sensor or electronic display. You can inspect the material in the upper area without treating a specific amount of grinding time as a rule. A window can help you decide when to open the chamber, but it cannot measure particle size or guarantee the same result every time.

Kozo's manufacturer's version calls this a Lightning Shape model. It is different from the standard clear-side Kozo Window 2.5-inch Grinder, even though both are in the 2.5-inch family.

How Does the Lightning Grinder Separate Fine Material?

The toothed upper section breaks up dry herbs while the middle area receives the grind. Some smaller particles can pass through the screen into a separate bottom catcher. That layout gives you more than the viewing feature: you can access the main material and the fine collection section independently.

Don't confuse the four pieces with four interchangeable grinding plates. This is a specific Kozo grinder, and screen replacements should be selected by model and chamber type rather than bought on appearance alone.

Which Lightning Finish and Care Routine Should You Choose?

Select your preferred one of the eight live colors, and check the matching product image before ordering. The 2.5-inch size applies across the offered finishes; there is no second diameter to select on this page.

Use a gentle brush on the teeth and screen, and wipe the viewing area without abrasive scrubbing. A rolling tray gives you a place to set the parts. See the Kozo collection if a plain lid or larger diameter is more important. If you use a fitted organizer, leave room to open the grinder's lower sections. The lightning window is useful while the model is assembled, but you will still need access to the lower catcher when emptying it.
